Project management is central to the way I provide my services. My clients typically hire me for everything from complete website redesigns, custom development, targeted fix-it projects such as performance improvements, and long-term maintenance. I serve as both a website strategist and hands-on technical partner — evaluating project goals, defining the most effective path forward, and managing every phase from planning through implementation.
As a versatile web professional, I bring a big-picture understanding of user experience, business needs, WordPress architecture, performance, security, SEO, and ongoing site operations. When a project requires specialized expertise, I coordinate the right resources and act as the liaison to ensure the work is completed efficiently and to a high standard. When custom functionality is needed, I design and build tailored solutions — including custom WordPress plugins, user dashboards, forms, payment workflows, content structures, and integrations — that fit the client’s specific business processes.
I began working with Rosanne Ullman of Write My Memoirs in early 2017. My first project was a substantial rebuild of the website to improve its mobile usability and modernize the visitor experience. I also implemented the payment forms and workflows needed to support the business’s services.
In November 2018, we launched a fully functional member area built around custom WordPress development and custom plugins. The new system gave members access to writing tools, account features, and data migrated from the previous website. Because the platform supported a large user base and numerous interconnected processes, the project required careful planning, data migration, testing, and phased implementation.
Our ongoing work continued to expand the platform’s educational offerings, including the planned launch of a Grammar and Writing Course. My ability to combine strategic planning with custom technical development has made me a strong long-term partner for growing this business.
Chris Wickliffe first hired me in early 2013 to make targeted technical improvements to the WordPress website for WickWerks Cycling Components. The initial work focused on improving the mobile experience and making the site more accessible and effective for visitors.
Following the success of that project, Chris brought me back in early 2016 to lead a full website redesign and modernization. I managed the revamp from strategy through implementation, improving the site’s usability, presentation, and overall technical foundation. The project delivered a significantly stronger web presence for the company and established an ongoing relationship built on reliable service and high-quality work.
My work with WickWerks led Eldon Goates to hire me to migrate and rebuild the Synthesis Engineering and Mechanical Elements websites on WordPress. The conversion of both sites was completed successfully, providing a more manageable, flexible platform for content and ongoing updates.
Since July 2016, I have continued to maintain and support both websites, helping ensure they remain stable, current, secure, and aligned with the company’s needs.
I have worked with Andrew Murphy, owner of SoCalTrucks, since early 2013. Over the course of our relationship, I have provided ongoing website maintenance, technical support, search optimization, analytics implementation, and custom functionality.
In November 2017, I launched a redesigned version of the website and continued refining its mobile experience to ensure strong functionality and reliability across devices. I also implemented onsite SEO improvements, including keyword and tag strategy, and set up Google Analytics to help monitor traffic and visitor behavior.
For the site’s classifieds functionality, I built a custom post type and listing structure using Toolset, making it easier to organize and display vehicle listings. I also created a custom payment workflow using Gravity Forms, allowing the business to collect payments directly through the website.
